ASSISTANCE FOR VETERANS COULD USE YOUR HELP IN SAN DIEGO
Assistance for Veterans in San Diego had a lot to be thankful for. We have over two years of deliveries under our belt and look forward to another year of the same. We also had success on Veterans Day with 2 food drives held at Santee Lakes as well as National City’s Sweetwater Harley Davidson.
Nancymae Gallagher Santee Lakes park recreation coordinator contacted Assistance For Veterans because the staff “wanted to help veterans needing help locally” after which we provided containers kept on the grounds for staff and visitors to put donations in, we thank all those who gave which added to our November deliveries and to our storage pantry, thanks Santee Lakes!
The Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club San Diego “BSMCSD” had a food drive at Sweetwater Harley Davidson in National City thanks to Alberto Rodriguez the Clubs’ media liaison who I met at another military event he and Sweetwater Harley’s outreach director Desiree Ramirez organized the club to run a food drive which was also successful in allowing for some robust deliveries and adding to our storage for future deliveries thanks BSMCSD!
Assistance For Veterans San Diego wants to thank Food for Less managers Miguel Bonilla and Dino Ocampo for donating to us over the last year, which really helps with getting fresh meat to our Veteran Families.

SALUTE TO THE MILITARY AT SWEETWATER HARLEY-DAVIDSON
Assistance for Veterans s was at National City’s Sweetwater Harley Davidson for a Salute to the Military event, a day of music and community giving. The CPO 365 an active military community service organization was raising money with a BBQ meal and car wash while booths of other venders rounded out the event. Capt. E. Royce Williams (Ret) was an interesting speaker who described missions he flew that earned him the Distinguished Flying Cross. The Ideas filled the afternoon with several sets of good old time rock n roll making for an excellent family event on a Saturday afternoon. We want to thank Sweetwater Harley Davidson for partnering with Assistance for Veterans to grow our food supplies.
