DONATE A VEHICLE FOR A VETERAN
Your donated vehicle will go to a veteran in a workforce program seeking employment or to a just recently employed veteran in need of a vehicle. These veterans are enrolled in Supportive Services for Veterans and Families (SSVF) assistance program, which will allow them to make minor repairs up to $1,200 to the donated vehicle.
These programs offer veterans many opportunities, except a vehicle, so that is where we step in. First we will identify the veteran that needs a vehicle for work and then begin the donation process. We will get your donated vehicle registered for the veteran and make all safety checks to the vehicle before its donation. This will allow the veteran mobility to progress towards his or her mission while letting them know that better days are ahead.
There are hundreds of veterans who could use assistance across Los Angeles County, many suffering from PTSD; some are homeless and are enrolled in these programs. These are the veterans your donation will assist. Our past wars have left many combat veterans struggling and they can really use our help. These are brave veterans who fought for our country.
Many join these programs because they offer them a place to stay in addition to three meals a day, but if they are still young they will need to seek employment. With food and shelter provided for, they can concentrate on their health, employment and housing, which is where your donated vehicle comes into their lives. The objective of these programs is so the veteran can locate employment, get housing and get their finances in order to make a bright future.
